Just the thought of jumping into the cool, blue waters of the Split in Caye Caulker, Belize had me rushing home to pack my bags. Cute swimsuit? Check. Sunblock? Check. Beach Towels? Check. - At a small rate of about $25 USD, you can take a taxi to Belize City from the International Airport. Once in Belize City you can either fly to the island that encourages every visitor to ‘go slow’ or you can add to your adventure by taking a 45 minute boat ride to the island.

When you get to the Water Taxi terminal in Belize City you will see that it has many restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. You will drop off your luggage and go in to purchase your tickets, which range from only $20 – $25 USD round-trip. The boat ride is an adventure in itself. During the ride you will feel the cool breeze from the sea as your water taxi glides through the blues of the sparkling water. Before you know it, in just 45 minutes you will arrive on the beautiful island of Caye Caulker.
